School of Mechanical and Electrical EngineeringSino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing),as one of the earliest modern apprenticeship pilots established by China’s Ministry of Education and one of the earliest officially-recognized successful colleges in Ningbo, boasts an excellent faculty, a number of nationally-acclaimed courses and teaching materials that are shared across the country, and provincially-recognized excellent learning materials. The School is home to many high-level training bases for the modern manufacturing technology such as the FANUC Numerical Control System Application Center of China’s Ministry of Education, as well as industrial robot application and intelligent equipment training centers. It co-founded the GF Precision Intelligent Manufacturing Center with Agie Charmilles Group, and established the first EAL Ningbo Certification Center in China in cooperation with the University of Nottingham to train high-quality technical talents with international vision. Graduates of the School work in well-known enterprises such as Haitian group, SAIC Volkswagen, Ningbo CSR, Geely Auto and Minth group, with graduate employment rate reaching 99% and satisfaction rate of employers reaching over 96%.

The School attaches great importance to cooperation with industry. It develops and implements modern apprenticeship models in collaboration with large leading enterprises, mold industrial clusters and emerging industries. The School and its partner Haitian Group's educational philosophy of jointly training talents, sharing resources, and collaboratively promoting employment has become a classic success story of China's higher vocational education and won the First Prize at China’s National Teaching Achievement Awards.
